Who We Are

Our Mission Statement reads,
Westminster is an inclusive church for progressive Christians...
Creating something beautiful for God.
We take the Bible seriously, but not literally.

The above statements mean: we at Westminster United Church strive to have a faith-understanding and a mission and ministry, which are supportive, open-minded, hopeful, credible, inclusive, progressive and relevant to life in the 21st century.

We also strive ‘to be loving and compassionate as God is loving and compassionate’ [Luke 6:36]; and because we faithfully follow the teachings and example of Jesus of Nazareth we are advocates for peace as well as social and ecological justice.
